2024/04/07: Water

Tomorrow is my birthday.

When I was a kid, I was afraid that the earth would slowly run out of water -- not due to the demands of a growing population or increased agriculture, but because every time you throw away a plastic drink bottle with the last few drops of liquid inside, that water is getting locked away in a landfill forever since plastic doesn't degrade. So I would always leave my bottles uncapped or try to dry them completely before closing the lid.

To this day I still wonder about it sometimes. There must be a handful of sips out there that nobody is ever going to take again. Anyway, I recycle as much as possible.
